A man in China who either was sick of waiting for the lift or just really loves jump-kicking stuff broke both of his legs after he jump-kicked an elevator door in and subsequently fell down the shaft.
Surveillance video obtained by the Daily Mail shows the man’s impressive flying leap into the elevator door, which breaks and is left hanging by its top hinges. What follows, though, is as impressive(ly stupid) — the man walks through the broken door and promptly falls down the shaft
While it might be a futile endeavor to ponder the thought process of a man who was just shown kicking in an elevator door, one must wonder what the guy was thinking. Was he inspecting the damage and lost his balance? Or did he think, now that the obstacle of the door was taken care of, he could just waltz through, hit the button for his floor, and be taken to his destination, regardless of whether the elevator car was actually there?
Luckily for the man, while he broke both his legs in the fall, he lives to jump-kick another day. Just, you know, not any time soon.
